Hand-knotted with extra thick yarn, this plush Beni Ourain accent rug features a unique, asymmetrical pattern of contrasting flatweave and high-pile techniques. A design-team favorite with the look of a perfect vintage find.
While most Moroccan rugs on the market today are vintage, this beauty has been handcrafted exclusively for The Citizenry. Each rug takes 6 weavers a month to complete, made by a fair trade cooperative dedicated to preserving this lost art.

Quality rug, but it does constantly shed. Not ideal if you have little ones still crawling around.

Hi Brian, Thanks for sharing your feedback! Shedding is a common characteristic of wool rugs, especially when they have higher pile and are made out of natural materials. We understand that it can be concerning, especially if you have little ones crawling around. To minimize shedding, we recommend regular vacuuming and gentle brushing to remove any loose fibers. Over time, the shedding should gradually decrease as the rug settles in.
