Chai Espresso Martini
This has been the year of espresso martinis, so we decided to add a little twist to this classic cocktail.
This year, we searched for the perfect holiday cocktail to keep us energized through travel, gift wrapping, and everything in between, and we couldn’t help but turn to the ever popular espresso martini. But what’s a holiday cocktail without a seasonal twist? Cue masala chai. Warm aromatics with a perfect blend of spices add a bit of extra richness to this classic drink.
Whether you’re serving guests or enjoying as a night cap, this cozy cocktail will be the cherry on top to your holiday season.
Ingredients:
- Chai Honey Syrup -
¼ cup of honey
4 bags spiced chai tea
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Martini -
1 ½ oz vodka
1 ½ oz Kahlúa
1 oz espresso
1 oz oat milk or coconut milk
Honey & brown sugar, to rim your glass
Cinnamon & 3 coffee beans, for garnish
Instructions:
- Chai Honey Syrup -
In a medium pot, bring 1/2 cup water to a boil
Remove from the heat & add the chai tea bags
Cover and steep for 10 minutes
Remove the tea bags and add the honey
Bring to a boil over high heat. Boil 3-5 minutes
Then remove from the heat, stir in the vanilla & let cool
This syrup makes enough for about 6 drinks
- Chai Espresso Martini -
If desired, rim your glass with honey & brown sugar
In a cocktail shaker, combine 1-2 tablespoons chai syrup, vodka, Kahlúa, espresso, and oatmilk
Add ice and shake vigorously for 1 minute. Strain into glass
Pour cold foam over the top of your cocktail and then garnish with cinnamon and coffee beans
