Urvi Handwoven Jute Area Rug
Featuring an organic weave with a looser, more relaxed braid, this jute rug brings a natural, laid-back feel to any space. Sustainable, durable, and beautifully textured, this jute rug is perfect for layering or on its own. It’s versatile like that.
Each rug is braided by hand with natural jute fiber. All made start-to-finish in a fair trade workshop in Bhadohi, India.
We recommend using a rug pad to reduce slippage.

United StatesIt’s simply a very nice rug
It has no warped sides like some rugs can have, and I like its thinness. Not too thin, but just not so thick you fear tripping over it. Has a lovely weight to it that it stays put on my wood floor.

The rug is a beautiful color (I ordered the lighter shade) and has a nice braided look. Unfortunately the texture was too scratchy for our living room. I could see this working better in a laundry or dining room. We chose to return it, but luckily the process was quite easy!

After purchasing a runner that I LOVE, I decided to go for a full-sized rug. I wanted something fairly neutral but with some texture to give character and feel. This rug fits that bill. The weave is on the chunky side which is what I was going for, and the fabric is more course which provides texture but is not at all uncomfortable to walk on barefoot. My dog is happy too because now she’s not skidding on the hardwood floor when she jumps off the bed. Another great rug from The Citizenry. Now, maybe a throw to match the carpet???
