During our visit to Banbridge, Lorcan and Sarah took us to visit the abandoned linen mills found throughout the town outskirts. Having grown up in the area, this brother-sister duo still remember the heyday of the linen industry, a time when Ireland was unrivaled in production of this material.
Today, things look a bit different. With growing price competition from across the world, Northern Ireland’s linen industry has been reduced to a fraction of what it once was. These two visionaries want to breathe new life into this once world-famous craft.
This duo first caught our eye with their collection of modern linen aprons for foodies and craftsmen. We were inspired by their mission and wanted to work together to expand production by creating a collection of Irish linen textiles. Featuring bold colors and patterns, together, we’re proving Irish linen still has a place in today’s design world.
