Right in the heart of Mexico City, in the charming neighborhood of La Roma, you’ll find Joana and Karim’s studio. It’s here that these two designers team up to create their beautifully simple designs.

Inspired by their Mexican and Venezuelan roots, they create pieces with an almost prehistoric aesthetic – utilitarian and simple, yet curiously beautiful. When it comes to materials, they go for the ones that don’t need a lot of dressing up or tricking out – they work with the richest natural woods and stones that are stunning on their own.

After hearing about the duo’s stripped down approach to design, we jumped at the chance to create something really beautiful together. We worked with their partner artisan workshops in Puebla and The Yucatán to bring this collection to life. Together, our goal is to bring you a tabletop collection that adds a bit of subtle artistry and interest to the everyday.
