The everyday becomes extraordinary at this humble workshop outside Guadalajara. Between the four walls of this nimble studio, the neighborhood’s empty bottles of soft drinks, juice, and even beer become vibrant works of glass art. Adding a touch of magic to your tableware, every piece mingles shades of amethyst, sepia, and subtle smoke to create something elegant, functional, and beautiful.
Celebrating the importance of a handmade object, these artists embrace the infinite possibilities that come from working with recycled glass. Once the glass is purchased from local collectors, the workers separate the glass by colors, breaking them down into shards for melting. From there, the molten glass is blown in the traditional way, creating subtle variations in size and shape.
At the heart of every piece is the idea that our homes should reflect who we are. More than just a collection of objects, home should be the place where life happens. It’s just another reason why these artists dedicate their lives to creating pieces with a story and a soul.
