Jagriti Hand-Knotted Area Rug
Luxe, laidback, and simply lovely. The intricate patterns of a traditional Indian sari were the inspiration for one of our best rugs from India. Small, intricate motifs create lines that drive your eye to an elaborate focal point in the center of this hand-knotted rug. Crafted with a low-cut, shaved pile, each rug is dyed with an abrash technique that creates one-of-a-kind variations and leaves them with a vintage look.
Each rug is hand-knotted by 14 master artisans in Bhadohi, India. From start-to-finish, each rug takes 5 days to complete. All made in a fair trade environment.
We recommend using a RUG PAD to prevent wrinkles and slippage.

LOVE our new rug!!
I'm fussy about rugs. I want it not to be "just another carpet", I prefer geometric patterns, I want a tassel at the edges but not too long, the design has to be unique, the color has to be rich but neutral, it must be soft but not furry, and definitely all organic fibers, hand woven. This rug knocks it out of the park! It makes our room both chic and cozy, I LOVE the pattern, it's soft but not too much fluff for a high traffic area, it's dark but not too dark, neutral but stands out - it's everything and more! I would not hesitate to purchase another rug from the Citizenry - the biggest difference of this vs other rugs I've purchased in the past was how there was no horrible chemical smell - it's an all natural beauty. Get yours too!!
LOVE this rug for our bedroom
We were looking for a nice rug to place under our queen bed in the master bedroom. This rug is perfect for the space. It’s not only beautiful, but extremely soft under foot. I vacuumed it once after receiving it and it hasn’t shed since. We love it!
