Nitara Hand-Knotted Area Rug
These aren’t your average stripes. Clean, classic, and effortlessly cool, this hand-knotted area rug turns tradition on its head by offsetting a set of vertical lines to create a wave of earth tones. Blending shades of ecru, oat, and rose clay, each rug is crafted for a soft, chunky, kick-off-your-shoes texture.
Each rug is hand-knotted by 14 master weavers in Bhadohi, India. From start-to-finish, each rug takes 5 full days to complete. All made in a fair trade environment.
We recommend using a RUG PAD to prevent wrinkles and slippage. Because each rug is hand-knotted with only natural materials, it is normal to see loose fibers or shedding in the first six months.

Beautiful Rug!!!
Unique gorgeous rug; thick and plush!!!
Flawless rug
This is a stunning rug and the quality exceeded my expectations when it arrived. It's thicker and heavier than I imagined. And it feels so good to walk bare foot on. This is my 3rd rug from the Citizenry and I've never been disappointed.
Super soft, great quality
As soon as I put this rug down, my kids and my cat were lying on the floor. It's so soft, great for an area that needs some warmth or texture. It sheds a bit for a while, but I think this is normal for a rug made of natural materials.
I usually love Citizenry products but the rug was lumpy and every time I vaccumed the knots would unravel! I gave it away!
