    The Potomac Bed

    A true heirloom piece, this custom bed is all handcrafted using solid hardwoods from the Appalachian Forest. Taking inspiration from vintage designs, this handsome bed frame adds a modern twist with refined, contemporary lines and hand-turned legs and posts. Available in natural walnut or black finished ash, each bed frame is meticulously crafted to stand the test of time.

    Completely made to order, each bed takes 6-8 weeks to arrive at your home. Made by a team of master frame builders in West Virgina, each piece is sustainably crafted to showcase the natural beauty of walnut and ash. All made start-to-finish in a fair trade environment.

    Note: Any damage should be reported at the time of delivery.

      • Are swatches available?
        View our wood swatches here. Since this is a natural material, expect variation in wood grain and color.
      • What type of mattress should I use?
        While your current mattress will work with any of our beds without a box spring, we recommend the Avocado Green Mattress® in the standard size which is 11'' thick. For additional comfort, add the Avocado Organic Latex Mattress Topper for a total height of 13.75''.

      • What's Included?
        Your delivery includes your headboard, footboard, two side rails, a center support rail (with center support foot queen, king, and cal king sizes) and slats. Hardware comes pre-installed.
      • How will it be packaged?
        Ensure your space is ready for White Glove Delivery. All bed components come in one box: 66'' H x 79-84'' W x 11'' D, 150 - 200lbs.

      • Do I need a box spring?
        Each bed is made with a foundation of wood slats to ensure even distribution of weight and longevity of your mattress. Box springs are not advised with our beds.
