Natural jute fiber reimagined in a modern, geometric design. This area rug has mastered the effortlessly cool look. Featuring a high-contrast, textural weave, this design brings a layer of warmth to any bedroom or living area.
Each rug is handwoven by 14 master artisans in Bhadohi, India. From start-to-finish, it takes five days to complete, all made in a fair trade environment.

Our rugs are handcrafted to last a lifetime, made using the highest quality natural fibers – no synthetic materials like viscose, rayon, or polyester are used.
Basic care:
Because each rug is handcrafted with only natural materials, it is normal to see loose fibers or shedding in the first six months.
Vacuum lightly at least once weekly using only low suction and no beater brush, as this may damage the rug. More frequent vacuuming will help prevent shedding.
Avoid placing rugs in prolonged direct sunlight as this can cause fading.
Rotate your rug every 3-6 months. This will help prevent excessive wear and fading in one area.
The use of a rug pad will keep your rug lying smooth and flat and will help prevent slippage.
Treating stains:
For jute rugs, do not use liquids for stain treatment – liquids will damage and discolor the natural fibers. Instead, use a dry rug shampoo or baking soda. Sprinkle the dry shampoo on the rug and allow it to sit for a couple of hours. Vacuum up the dry shampoo and flip the rug over to repeat on the other side. When in doubt, professional cleaning is always best.

United StatesDisappointing; sheds way too much.
I am extremely disappointed with this rug and do not recommend. It sheds an insane amount. Chunks of jute come out when you run your hand over it, as the threads are held in place with a single loose stitch. I wish I had not bought it.

There is minor shedding, which is typical for jute rugs. I’m happy with this purchase because it is exactly as pictured. Love the dimension of the pattern! Now I know why this has been back ordered for as long as it has been.

I've had this rug for a month now and really like it -- really fun textures and minimal shedding. My senior dog had an accident on it, and it ended up cleaning up nicely. (I used a lot of enzyme cleaner, which is apparently a no-no for jute, but it didn't discolor at all.)
