Oaxaca is the hub for all things bright, bold, and full of life. Located in the south of Mexico, this cultural mecca is home to our newest collection of textiles.
While this region is chock full of inspiration, Oaxaca’s architecture was the muse for our newest designs. From the Zapotec patterns found in the ruins of Mitla to the terra cotta stairs of San Agustin, we couldn’t get enough of the lines, the shapes, and of course, those warm red hues.
To bring this collection to life, we’re teaming up with a fair trade cooperative of Zapotec weavers. We’ve worked together for five years, and they still amaze us with their artistry and craft. Their specialty? All natural dyes. Watching as they transform leaves, a pinch of ash, and a drop of citrus into the most brilliant hues is nothing short of magic.
And trust us, the ladies have definitely worked some magic with these new designs. We can't wait for you to see their masterpieces (landing this Thursday!). Until then, we're sharing a few snaps from our last trip and some design previews!
