As you may know, India is currently facing a deadly second-wave coronavirus outbreak, with infection rates around 300,000 a day. With limited access to vaccines and hospitals at capacity and running out of oxygen, the country is in need of our support.
This crisis hits especially close to home for us – we work with 908 artisan partners in India, and many live in the regions of Kerala, Delhi, and Rajasthan which have been impacted most severely. We are staying connected with our partners, and we will continue to check-in with them and provide support where we can.
If you have the ability to do so, please donate directly to the organizations listed below. Now, more than ever, it's important for us to go across languages, cultures, and borders and help one another.
Give India: Supports fundraising campaigns for oxygen, food, and women's reproductive health.
Mission Oxygen: Helps local hospitals across India access more oxygen cylinders and concentrators.
Rapid Response: Delivers food and safety kits to marginalized communities.
International Medical Corps: Provides medical supplies, personal protective equipment, sanitation and hygiene supplies, and isolation facilities.
