The Uganda Collection image

Tomorrow we launch Collection Two, the second chapter in what’s been an incredible journey. Since the beginning, we've been driven by the pursuit of beauty, adventure, and craftsmanship around the world. Uganda over delivers on all three, making it the perfect destination for our second collection.

Collection Two is a collaboration with Rose & Fitzgerald, a Uganda-based lifestyle brand that shares our mission for empowering artisan entrepreneurs. We’ve mentioned them before, but Courtney and Laren Poole are the husband-and-wife duo behind this incredible brand. After a few brainstorm conversations, we decided we could make a bigger impact in Uganda's artisan community if we partnered together. We worked closely with Courtney to execute this vision, learning more and more about her passion for the country, the people, and her desire to make down-right beautiful things. In fact, you'll see Rose & Fitzgerald jewelry peppered through many photos as they've become a part of our daily uniform at The Citizenry.

Collection Two is a celebration of the brilliant natural resources and craftspeople in Uganda. In this collection, we showcase the high quality Mugavu wood found in Central Uganda, rare Ankole cow horn, and the local expertise of basket weaving. We're so excited to tell these stories and shine a light on the rich tradition of artistry in this distant corner of the world, from master woodworkers in the Nakawa region to weavers in rural villages in the Rwenzori Mountains.

We’re sharing previews on our Pinterest page throughout the day. Be sure to go check it out!
