We spent most of 2017 trekking across Africa. From Morocco to Kenya, Mali, and most recently, Côte d’Ivoire – the continent has made its way into our hearts. This Giving Tuesday, we’re working to preserve more than just the beauty of its people and craft. We are standing up to help save its most majestic creatures – the elephants.

Traveling through Côte d’Ivoire, we learned that years of poaching and habitat destruction have made elephants extinct outside protected areas. This was the saddest thing we heard and while we know that a reversal of the problem is complex, we learned there is a simple, but powerful thing we can do to support the cause – donating blankets to orphan elephants.
Perhaps we can't fix the problem, but we certainly know blankets.
For every order on Giving Tuesday, we are donating a comfort blanket to an orphan elephant at the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Kenya.
The blankets play two important roles in orphaned elephant care. First, hanging the blankets near the calves aid in feeding, as the size and feel helps play the role of the mother. Also, wrapping the calves in blankets provides much needed comfort and warmth for these sensitive little beings.
We know we can't save all the elephants, but maybe, with your help, we can keep some little ones warm and happy. So go on, and give the gift that gives back.
Where to start? Shop our team’s favorite picks this season (every gift will come with a note explaining the support). If you would prefer to donate to the cause directly, use this LINK.
Either way, we are working together to make this world more beautiful and magical for all. Thank you for joining us on this journey.
